Men’s AW25 Accessories
The highlights from the AW25 runway shows for men, where I present key themes and summaries that are actionable trends for your business.
For fall, a lot of the mens shows were paired back in terms of clothing, and accessories were used to tell a greater story. From giant rosettes, to scrabble tile ties - this season offers multiple ways to inject fun, energy and luxury to collections.
Warm Luxury
The runway warmed up this season, with accessories in rich suedes, velvets and focus on scarves and gloves.
Treasured Objects
Charms that hung off belt loops and bags were realistic pieces of treasure, as if they have been scavenged. We saw measuring tapes, keys and compasses in intricate metal detailing.
Romantic Western
Western was still a prominent theme for AW25 accessories, but we introduce a more romantic take. Huge velvet rosettes were paired with cowboy hats, and delicate floral print adorned cowboy boots. We also see exaggerated fringe, used in a romantic colour palette.
Dinner Attire
Continuing on with a romantic theme, many shows included looks inspired by classic tuxedo dressing, and we saw silk bow ties, crystal brooches and rosettes in black or white. Traditional shoes were seen in patent leather, with silk trims to create a luxurious look.
Structured Lux Bags
Many of the bags this season were of high craftsmanship, and offered a more structured “handbag” style silhouette. The theme was luxury, and leathers were rich in colour and of high quality, adding a contemporary twist to heritage dressing.
Leather Utility Bags
Utility bags were seen across multiple shows, in new leather finishes to add extra interest. The key is function, with multiple pockets with specific uses. We even saw men layering up multiple bags in mono materials and colours.
Architectural Glasses
For eyewear architectural and contemporary frames were used, in multiple colours and finishes.
Fun Nostalgia
Injecting fun on the runway, we saw lots of printed & appliquéd bags with nolstagic motives, as well as comic book style bags for shows. We also saw tongue in cheek accessories such as Kid Super’s Scrabble tie.
